Calendar Views

Answering all your questions about calendar views and how to use them to your benefit

What are Calendar Views?

Calendar views describe the different layouts and ways that users can see events listed on Armat. There are four views:

  1. Grid View (Default)
  2. Listing View
  3. Calendar View
  4. Map View

Grid View (Default)

Grid view is the default view that users will see when they first login to Armat. Here, events are displayed as tiles in a grid. Selecting an event will lead you to the single event page.

Listing View

Listing view displays events as a list. Selecting an event will lead you to the single event page.

Calendar View

Calendar view displays events on a calendar. Selecting an event from here will display a modal with the event name and some other information such as Event Name, Time, Address, Categories, and Event Description.

Map View

Map view displays events as pins on a map. Selecting an event from here will display a modal with the event name and some other information such as Event Name, Time, Address, Categories, and Event Description. Only physical events are displayed here as they’re the only ones with an address. The intended use case for the map view is for users to be able to eventually look at what events are taking place around the world and to set up their travels around those events.

So let’s say that a church is having a mass with the Armenian community in Michigan. You’ve never been to Michigan. You can plan out a trip to Michigan to meet the community and get to travel and go sightseeing as well. You get to meet Armenians from around the world and you get to experience the life there. After all, "for when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.”
